NPO Customer

A customer represents a company, account or business unit. For example, if a software consulting company is asked to build automation for a customer called Brightline Limited, then the customer record in NPO is Brightline Limited.

For larger customers, it could be beneficial to split business units, such as Marketing, Operations, Sales, etc, into individual customers. However, it is generally better to split these at project level.
